Scholarship Information

EKU Theatre Scholarships

Open to all declared theatre-related majors, these scholarships are awarded from an endowed fund created by the EKU Theatre faculty and grows annually depending upon donations and other gifts. Past awards have ranged from $100-$500, received by 6-8 students each year. To apply, a letter of application and a current theatre resume should be sent no later than April 1 to:

Clarence Gifford Scholarship

A $500 award given to a junior or senior major based upon participation in the program and academic stading. A student cannot apply for this honor award as it is determined by the faculty and no application is required.

Pearl Buchanan Freshman Scholarship

A $100 scholarship awarded to an incoming freshman theatre major. To apply, a letter of application and current theatre resume should be sent no later than April 1 to:

All scholarship awards are applied to tuition and fees for the next academic year.
